McKelvey Homes Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony at The Exclusive Waterfront at Wildhorse Village

January 18, 2023

Earlier this month, McKelvey Homes celebrated the much-anticipated groundbreaking of Waterfront at Wildhorse Village, a new master-planned community in Chesterfield.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony was attended by many community and business leaders including Chesterfield Mayor, Bob Nation, St. Louis County Executive, Dr. Sam Page, District 4 Councilman, Mark Harder, Operating Partner at CRG, Jeff Tegethoff, President of McKelvey Homes, Jim Brennan, along with many others who have been a part of the planning and building of this community.
Designed with 35 homesites, Waterfront offers new homebuyers a chance to build in an exclusive lakefront community.  McKelvey Homes will build four plans from the all-new Signature Series with `modern design and luxury finishes, starting in the upper $900s. Waterfront offers a unique design concept with gorgeous lake views from nearly every homesite. McKelvey Homes take pride in their ingenuity and creativity to bring the best there is to offer in new home construction. Presales have started, and demand has been high with over 1/3 of the 35 homesites sold.
Jim Brennan, President of McKelvey Homes, stated; "We are thrilled to be a part of the Downtown Chesterfield project, Waterfront at Wildhorse Village offers buyers the best of everything, including convenient location, top-quality construction, modern amenities, green space, and a quality school district."
For residents, Wildhorse Village will offer the best of all worlds - an array of housing options nestled in a parklike setting with the boutiques, restaurants, and retail services of a big city. Extensive infrastructure improvements on the Wildhorse Village site started in early 2021. This included improving 8.3 acres of public green space with landscaping and pocket parks; and installing bicycle lanes and walking paths that circle the lakefront and connect with the Riparian Trail, which runs along Chesterfield Creek.  Along with publicly accessible green space with trails and amenities, residents and visitors will also enjoy the community’s main attraction: a 15-acre lake at the village’s center. The waterfront will be activated with a terraced plaza, a boardwalk with seating areas, an amphitheater, and a boathouse with a standup paddle board and kayak rental.
