POSITION SUMMARY:
McKelvey Homes Purchasing Agent / Estimator / Systems Manager will work within the Purchasing and Estimating department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, bid management, procurement of new ‘Trade Partners’, ability to produce and maintain unitized takeoffs, review and analyze proposed costs, validation of bid compliance against Scope-of-Work, management of builders ERP / integrated software system, as well as all of the rebate and incentive programs. This team member shall work with all other departments within the company as it relates to the purchasing, estimating, and ERP functions listed below:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Analyze blueprints and conduct/maintain accurate unitized takeoffs
• Manage bidding process of assigned costs codes with trades
• Effectively negotiate costs for management review
• Maintain current and accurate construction budgets in our ERP / MarkSystems
• Create options and sales pricing in our ERP / MarkSystems
• Provide custom option pricing for assigned Sales team members
• Assist in value engineering of current and new home plans
• Provide ERP / MarkSystem support for Production and Sales Team
• Train both internal staff and trade partners on ITK, the builder portal in our ERP / MarkSystems
• Working knowledge of product specifications, scopes-of-work, and building code requirements
• Manage all reporting for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual rebate programs

EXPERIENCE:
• Construction Management or related degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years residential construction experience required
• Builder ERP / PO system experience required / MarkSystems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel required

McKelvey Homes is looking for a qualified residential Punch Laborer and Pick Up Laborer.
Job Descriptions:
Punch Laborer:
Work alongside a McKelvey Homes Superintendent on a daily basis.
Work in completed homes to get them ready to demonstrate and deliver to the home buyer.
General skills in caulking, painting, basic cleaning and good work ethic.
Review residential home for any defects and create a punch list for trade workers to complete.
Skills in completing any loose ends that need to be finished before delivery to the buyer.
General or basic knowledge of residential construction methods.
Pick Up Laborer:
Work on a daily basis with a McKelvey Homes Superintendent.
Pick up construction debris across the residential construction site.
Clean up interior and exterior of homes at different stages of construction to prep for the next trade.
Purchase & deliver construction materials from hardware store to trades to keep them working on the job.
Use construction pumps to exhaust ponding water in foundations at times
Deliver generators and fuel to jobsites that are working without permanent power.
Power-wash exterior of homes and garages.
General residential site clean-up.
Must be reliable and committed
Valid Driver’s License required
Must pass drug and background test
Competitive pay based on work experience
